This may be the least important page on the site. Why? For two reasons: 1. The power and merits of One God One Message are found—not in the one who wrote it, but in The One of whom it speaks: The Creator-Owner-Redeemer-King of the Universe, His awesome person and power, and His thrilling plan for those who know and trust Him. The Author of Life is not impressed by big-name authors and publishers. In His kingdom and economy—the least is the greatest. Little is much when HE is in it. 2. Any book worth reading must stand on its own merits no matter who penned or published it. Paul D . Bramsen and his wife have spent most of their adult lives in Senegal, West Africa, a predominently-Muslim nation on the edge of the Sahara. The dominant people group in Senegal are the Wolof. The primary languages are Wolof and French. The Bramsens have three grown children. Paul, the fourth of six children, was born in 1957 in California to Danish immigrant parents. The daily lives of Paul's father and mother demonstrated consistent love for the Lord and people, strong family values, and honest, hard work. Growing up, Paul developed a love for photography, film-making, hiking, distance-running, astronomy, and the Word of God. While Paul's interest in some of these hobbies has waned, his love for God and the Scriptures continues to increase. One of Paul's favorite verses is Daniel 11:32: "The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits." The aspiration of Paul's heart is expressed in the latest Finlandia-hymn, I Then Shall Live. I then shall live as one who's been forgiven I'll walk with joy to know my debts are paid I know my name is clear before my Father I am His child and I am not afraid So greatly pardoned, I'll forgive my brother The law of love, I gladly will obey. Bramsen's writings flow not only from a passion for God and His Word, but also from thousands of dialogues - face-to-face and via e-mail - with Muslim friends, neighbors and acquaintances. Between 1992 and 1994, Paul wrote The Way of Righteousness, a 100-program chronological radio series, which he and his Senegalese colleague Malick produced in the Wolof language for broadcast in Senegal. Later, an English translation of this series was published as a book. Today these radio programs have been or are being translated into more than 80 languages for broadcast in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. ROCK International (Resources Of Crucial Knowledge / Relief, Opportunity & Care for Kids) is the official publisher of all Bramsen's writings in English as well as many of his writings in other languages. Paul wrote the first draft of One God One Message in Senegal over a period of a four months. The editing process was completed in the USA and took another nine months. Paul is grateful to his wife and kids, other family members (such as his brother Dave who drew the illustrations scattered throughout the book), the community of God's people, colleagues and correspondants around the world, and, above all, to the Lord Himself for the realization of this project. As another Paul wrote nearly 2000 years earlier: "What do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?" (1 Corinthians 4:7). Or as Bramsen wrote in the preface to The Way of Righteousness, "I cannot claim originality for this series any more than one who arranges a bouquet can take credit for the fragrant aroma and exquisite beauty of the flowers. These lessons are a simple arrangement of the glorious Word of God and a display of the One who is 'altogether lovely.'" The same can be said of One God One Message. "A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. ... HE must increase, but I must decrease." — The Prophet John (John 3:27,30) To contact author, by e-mail:
